This April Peace Corps celebrated its 50th Anniversary (48th year in Guatemala) and to celebrate the Ambassador invited all of the volunteers to his house. All in all there were around 500 people at the celebration and we had one of the directors of Peace Corps come out to speak to us as well. We were a little disappointed that the Ambassador didn't prepare his brownies we had heard so much about, but the grounds of the embassy were pretty satisfying to walk around...still, I would have preferred the brownies.
Here is a view of the pavilion that was set up on the back lawn.
Here I am in front of the Ambassador's house.
